LOS ESCLAVOS

The Slaves

Los Esclavos
The concept inspires “The Slaves” arises in 1994, in front of four of Michael Angel sculptures of Florence Academy where the figures fight against the texture of the stone, the heaviness of the material in a useless deviousness they cannot use to escape from a too much real prison. There, arises, the origin of a series of four plays, where the substance and the form are blended.  Those texts describe the journeys of characters linked to a fatal and prefixed destiny. In the limits of writing, they fight to free from that yoke they don´t choose. But those journeys become into an investigation about tragedy. It is not absent the attempt to introduce modern physics concepts proved eighty years ago due to Einstein Relativity theory and Heissemberg and Schrödinger studies about quantum mechanics. He introduced new ways to consider reality that change our conception of space, time and the principles of casualty and determination  based on the Newtonian way of thinking.
